Drama Club
The drama club helps kids learn about themselves, work as a group in a supportive environment, and feel comfortable in your own skin. Anyone can join and are welcomed to.They may have to help put on plays by acting and designing sets. It is sponsored by Mrs.Nancy Austin and Mrs.Kim Price. Science Olympiad WLMS Science Olympiad team is a team of 18 students who will compete against other schools in 23 highly competitive events. County competitions will be in February and March. The main goal is to give the students the opportunity to explore topics that they are interested in and give them an opportunity to test their general interest meetings after school to explain events to students, administer a brief test, and do a few sample activities with the group.http://www.sciencec.com Battle of the Books This club encourages students to read as many books as possible. There is 12 people that put together a team for our school to prepare for the BOB completion using a game format which creates interest and excitement in reading. http://www.ncslma.org Wildcat Service Club
The Wildcat Service Club was formed five years ago and has grown ever since. Now it has approximately sixty members. The service club sponsors a variety of projects throughout the school year, including SPCA Wish List Drive, Angel Tree, Brown Bag Ministry and more. All 6th,7th and 8th graders are welcome. The service club typically meet once a month. Family, Consumer, and Community Leaders of America Club The FCCLA gives students opportunities to develop career skills and learn the importance of balancing career and family responsibilities.
